The opinions expressed by the entrepreneur's contributors are their own.
As of March 11, 2020, when the pandemic was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), we quickly witnessed a series of events that saw drastic changes that took place not only globally but also on the scale of our lives at home and in business, as we had to adapt quickly to the “new normal”.
As we abided by the new rules and retreated to the safety of our homes, entrepreneurs had the opportunity to grapple with their own reality about what they had created up to that point – what worked, what didn't, what our strengths are . For some it was suddenly impossible to escape the truth, and it was a confronting but powerful opportunity to open an entirely new path of business and impact in a much more forward-looking way.
1. More clarity and purpose
There are people who choose to react to situations around them and those who want to observe and understand. Those who have chosen to observe and understand in the recent circumstances have found that they have unleashed a greater degree of clarity, wisdom, and purpose. It's not uncommon for business owners to go through a full renaming and restructuring this year as their belief and value systems go through a full upgrade to realign themselves with the new world.

It is also becoming increasingly clear what is no longer working in the world in a way that benefits humanity. It has become clear which industries need to be reshaped and rewritten to serve humanity in this next layer. It has become clear how we can individually contribute to making the world and the Internet more human with what we know. Our unique gifts have stood out more than ever, and many have found and tapped their zone of genius. This happens when we move away from all the external noises that had dazed and confused us for so long.
2. Be future-oriented with a view to technological progress
Now it is important that we pay attention to how we can fit in with the advancement of technology so that we can thrive rather than just survive.
There are certain things in the world that we can resist and struggle with with all our will, but technology isn't one of them, especially considering how much we've fueled and used these advances over the past decade. As long as we have a deep understanding of who we are at the level of inner being, we can incorporate technology into business and personal life in such a way that our mental and emotional wellbeing is not compromised.

We are now in our fourth industrial revolution, according to the World Economic Forum. Technologies like artificial intelligence, electric cars, and the scope of the internet are merging with the physical bodies and life of humanity. We've seen this happen over the past decade with fingerprint sensors, facial recognition, and voice-activated assistants. All of this is data that will be used to drive the next phase of advancements and upgrades.
3. Entrepreneurs adopt new tactics
Many business owners are now choosing to build their own platforms to hold their communities and for educational purposes. With the increase in SMS platforms, we are now seeing a surge in social messaging and closer one-to-one connections and customer relationships rather than the one-to-many connection we saw with social media in the past decade and a half.
With many people taking extended breaks from social platforms lately, we can expect new advances that support the needs of both the changing needs of consumers and entrepreneurs.

Given that the most important part of any business's success is to keep exploring your zone of genius, this time was a great opportunity for many entrepreneurs to discover their gifts and talents in ways they had never known before . What we are now seeing is that all of the pieces of the puzzle come into play, with different entrepreneurs making their individual contributions to creating a more stable, healthier, and more resilient world, in ways that are all different from each other but hold together as part of the Overall picture.
