Donut chain Krispy Kreme is literally and metaphorically making customers a sweet deal by giving away free donuts every day for the rest of the year – as long as those customers are vaccinated against Covid-19.
To encourage the public to take any of the three approved vaccines, the company announced today that customers only need to show their vaccination card to receive a free glazed donut. Currently, Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson are the only US suppliers delivering the vaccines.

The offer is only available in the United States, where as of this writing, more than 81 million Americans have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Customers must show their Covid-19 vaccination cards as vaccine stickers are not accepted. You will also be limited to one donut a day, the company said.
In a press release, Krispy Kreme said it would also be giving away free donuts at selected vaccination centers in the coming weeks. Krispy Kreme employees are given an additional four hours of paid time off so they can likely get the vaccines themselves.
"We all want to get out of Covid-19 as soon as possible, and we want to support everyone who is doing their part to keep the country safe by getting vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them," said Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer.
President Joe Biden's administration now believes the country will have enough doses for every eligible adult by May, according to CBS News.
