Evergrande advisors, bondholders transfer into debt talks – Bloomberg Information

(Reuters) – Advisors representing China Evergrande Group and a group of its offshore bondholders have taken steps toward debt negotiations as the developer faces a liquidity crisis, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The company's advisors, Houlihan Lokey (NYSE 🙂 Inc and Admiralty Harbor Capital, as well as offshore bondholders Moelis (NYSE 🙂 & Co and Kirkland & Ellis have signed nondisclosure agreements in preparation for possible talks, according to the report https: // Bloom. bg / 3vVdTnF on Wednesday.

The advisors are trying to share information with Evergrande, including the status of various projects, liquidity and asset valuation after previous contact attempts have been dismissed, Bloomberg said.

Evergrande, Admiralty Harbor Capital, Moelis and Kirkland & Ellis did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment. Houlihan Lokey declined to comment on the report.

China Evergrande Group, the world's most heavily indebted real estate company, is suffering from more than $ 300 billion in debt, fueling concerns about the impact of its fate on global markets.
