Deep Dive: These 15 retailer shares are anticipated to rise as much as 97% over the following 12 months

With so many challenges facing traditional retailing, investors can be forgiven for abandoning the entire industry. But there is money to be made by focusing on innovative salespeople, and maybe even traditional brick and mortar retailers, cleaning up.

Below are two lists of retailer inventory levels broadly defined by FactSet and specialized companies like Vroom Inc.
VRM
and Carvana Co.
CVNA,
who sell (and buy) used cars online. The first list includes 15 stocks that analysts expect to rise the most in the next year, and the second list shows companies that are expected to grow the most in sales over the next two years.

Two retailers who have not created either list are Macy’s Inc.
m
and Target Corp.
TGT.
Both are worth watching, although investors with shorter maturities may find them expensive.

Macy’s shares had nearly doubled for 2021 by last week. The stock rose 20% on Aug. 19 after the company reported a 61% year-over-year increase in quarterly sales in like-for-like stores, announced a quarterly dividend, and announced an expanded partnership with WHP Global to bring more Toys & # 39; R & # 39; US items for sale in its stores. The stock closed at $ 22.39 on August 20, one cent above the consensus twelve-month price target of analysts surveyed by FactSet. Of course, analysts can change their estimates in light of the latest news.

Target's stock is up 49% this year. The company also reported a much improved second quarter and built its partnership with Walt Disney Co.
DIS.
Target shares closed at $ 253.40 on August 20, 10% below the consensus target of $ 277.66.
