Proptech firm Spruce, which received $ 60 million in Series C funding this summer, announced the hiring of three executives to continue its expansion. After doubling its workforce last year, New York-based Spruce plans to grow at the same pace in 2021 and currently employs 300 full-time employees.
The digital tools provider for title insurance, sales, escrow and record keeping services named Brittany Murphy to lead its data science, Debra Hochman to lead its title solutions and Susan King enterprise account executive.
"These important new hires will play a critical role in ensuring that we continue to offer our innovative customers the highest levels of transparency, flexibility and simplicity – so they can meet their ambitious growth goals," said Patrick Burns, Co-Founder and CEO of Spruce.
Prior to joining Spruce, Murphy led research for real estate data and analytics firm HouseCanary and was also a senior data scientist at Allstate Insurance. As Head of Data Science, she will be responsible for risk optimization models and underwriting algorithms that lead to the development of new automated tools.
A title services veteran with previous positions at First American Title, AmTrust Title and TitleWave Real Estate Solutions, Hochman will be responsible for delivering Spruce's title solutions nationwide. King, who is a former vice president and regional correspondent loan manager at Texas Capital Bank and also held positions at Fidelity National Title and Stonegate Mortgage, will oversee Spruce's expansion efforts in the western United States.
