Dow Jones Newswires: Guess doubles its dividend, shares rise after revenue

Apparel company Guess Inc.'s shares traded higher in Tuesday's after-hours session after the company's board of directors announced a dividend of 22.5 cents per share, up from the previous dividend of 11.25 cents per share.

The new dividend will be paid to shareholders of record on December 24th after close of business on December 8th, the company said.

was trading 5.9% higher at $ 22.55. At that time the volume exceeded 56,000 shares.

The company's stock ended the day's regular trading session losing 4.6% to close at $ 21.30.

After Tuesday's bell, the company reported third-quarter earnings per share of 45 cents on revenue of $ 643.1 million. For the same period last year, the company had earnings per share of 18 cents on sales of $ 615.9 million.

Guess also said it expects revenue in the mid-single-digit range for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2022 versus the fourth quarter of fiscal 2020.
