You may have noticed some exciting changes in the Mint app. We're introducing new features that are more focused on insights and personalization, and provide a better holistic view of your financial picture to enhance the Mint experience. We also address some of the biggest inquiries we've received from the Mint community, including an update on how we view your assets and expenses over time.
Everything here is new to mint and how to use it:
Assets and monthly expenses over time
You asked, we delivered! You can now view assets and monthly expenses over time to keep track of your monthly goals. To access this visual snapshot, toggle between the two options by selecting the carrot next to "December Spending" and "Fortune".
Click in each field to enter full screen mode and drag your finger to interact with the data.
You can also click through the primary number to view it
Assets> all transactions
Spending Over Time> Monthly Spending.
If you want, you can hide the diagram to further simplify your overview.
All your accounts in one app with interactive accounts
The accounts area is now in the front and center, so you can check each category with a single tap or expand all to scroll through each account. No need to use multiple apps as your accounts, bills and budgets are covered. Think of Mint as your all-in-one finance app that connects your accounts, bills and more. In a little while, you will be able to reorganize these accounts the way that best suits your needs.
We want to make sure we bring you the most relevant offers! You can tell us which offers are most valuable to you and which are not by declining them.
This Month Tab
We heard that the overview page can be a bit overwhelming. Now you can click a new tab for all things "This Month" in the app. This shows your cash flow, budgets, expense categories, bills, goals, and other resources like spending on joy. Are you looking for more customization? At the top right of the tab, you'll see a Customize the Page icon, where you can drag and drop many of the widgets to set up the page the way you want. That way, you can see your entire financial picture every month and keep a close eye on your expenses.
If you've heard the term live, as far as you can, it essentially refers to budgeting so you are spending less than you are making. With Mint's updated budgeting feature, iOS users can now increase their income and compare it to their spending budgets, making it easy to review previous months' budgets. This way you can see right away how much you are spending and how much you are bringing in to create realistic budgets.
We have simplified the categorization of transactions. Instead of working individually, you can edit and re-categorize multiple transactions at once using the bulk edit option. You can also better find, add, and manage tags by filtering the full list of transactions by all, uncategorized, and earnings to keep track of your money in a way that is convenient for you. We have also simplified the search for transactions using a text search. You will also find that each category has different, specific symbols to make identification easier. Eventually, partner offers from the transaction placement are no longer displayed.
Mint helps you keep track of your finances with alerts. With the redesigned notification center, you can now display personalized insights. You can make sure these insights and alerts are relevant to you by customizing your accounts. If you no longer use a particular account, you can mark it as "inactive". You can also view your pending invoices and mark them as paid with a tap to avoid late fees and make payments on time.
You can get new personalized MintSights ™ that show saving opportunities for any type of financial product. Personalized MintSights ™, newly available in the app, now offers more relevant advice based on a person's individual financial situation and goals. By analyzing over 5 billion transactions from 25 million users, these personalized MintSights ™ customers can help save money and pay off debts faster.
