Nine drug makers working on coronavirus vaccines made public commitments on Tuesday to prioritize safety and adhere to rigorous scientific standards in response to mounting political pressure to get a vaccine to market ahead of the November 3rd US presidential election . The pledge was aimed at "building public confidence" by pledging to seek regulatory approval only when enough data was collected from a large phase three study. Three vaccine manufacturers have now entered phase three studies.
