A short-selling research firm says it made a profit on its bet against cinema chain AMC Entertainment.
Iceberg Research said in a tweet that it has covered its short against AMC
after the stock fell 30% during its hold. Iceberg first announced its short position against AMC in July.
The company did not disclose the size of their position.
Iceberg said it could place another bet against AMC.
AMC stock soared 1.657% this year as retail investors – including those on the Reddit Wall Street Bets message board – flocked to the stock. However, stocks are down 47% from their June highs.
