Escape is also the most efficient with a speed of 100 mpg. Technically, the Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid earns 100 MPGe, with the EPA calling the last letter "equivalent". This is the rating the government agency gives to vehicles like this when using an electrified powertrain.

The Ford Escape is completely new for 2020 and already offers a hybrid model together with standard petrol drives. The regular 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid together earns an impressive 41 mpg. Thanks to its larger battery, the Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid exceeds this number to 100 MPGe.
Performance and efficiency
Like the standard Escape Hybrid, this plug-in model combines a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor with a total output of 200 hp. Thanks to the larger battery, the plug-in model can travel a considerable distance with electricity alone – up to 60 km. Between electrification and the petrol engine, the total range of the Ford Escape PHEV is EPA rated at 530 miles.
According to Ford, charging times are 10 to 11 hours on a standard 110 volt outlet or less than 3.5 hours on a 240 volt level 2 line.
Choice of three borders
The 2020 Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid is available now and is available in three versions: SE (from $ 33,040 plus target fee), SEL ($ 35,620) and Titan ($ 36,435). These prices are several thousand dollars higher than the standard hybrid, but the PHEV also offers potential cost savings in addition to its efficiency.

Plug-in vehicles are eligible for federal tax credits. While the EPA has not yet announced full tax credit incentive for the 2020 Escape PHEV, a similar sibling, the Ford Fusion Energi Sedan, is eligible for a $ 4,609 loan.

The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime is a plug-in version from Toyota
The best-selling compact SUV to hit the stores this summer. In contrast to the Ford Escape PHEV, which is only equipped with front-wheel drive, the Toyota RAV4 Prime is all-wheel drive. (The standard Ford Escape Hybrid also offers AWD.) The Toyota offers a lot more power – 302 horsepower – and Toyota says the RAV4 Prime will reach a speed of 0 to 60 mph in just 5.7 seconds.
